Staff Picks: Father's Day Gifts
We asked our Summer interns Claire, Dallas, Deborah, Whitney and Jess to share with us what they plan to get their fathers for Father’s Day and why. Their answers (see below) were so sweet, we had to share them….
My dad takes pride in his presentation. When I was young, I would wake up early and copy his morning routine. He’d make me a mini cup of decaf coffee, and then he’d blob some shaving cream on my face and let me “shave” alongside him with a capped razor. The final act was tying his tie, which I always attempted and failed, and which he would fix. This Fine Corded Cotton Tie is cool but also classic, and to me is the best gift to represent the daily rituals that developed and solidified our father-daughter bond.
I think my dad’s iPad replaced me when I went to college…he loves it so much. Now every time my dad takes out his iPad from this sleek leather Spencer iPad sleeve he can be reminded of me, which means he will probably send a FaceTime request. Usually when he does that I act like I’m annoyed, but to be honest it makes my day. He may not be able to protect me from the real world anymore, but at least he can protect his iPad with this classic accessory.
My dad loves sweaters, and this Navy Moriera Pullover would be perfect for chilly mornings in Maine! Navy is also such a versatile color that I’m sure he’ll get lots of use out of it.
For as long as I can remember my dad’s weekend uniform has consisted of the same pair of jeans, that have definitely been around since the 90’s! That’s why these Rogue Territory Jeans would be a great update for his wardrobe this Father’s Day.
My dad hates packing more than anything, so maybe this Duck Island Dopp Kit will make packing feel easy for him, and then he’ll visit me more often!
